Beach Trip
First we found a kite (and a chair) being overtaken by the waves. After 45 minutes of untangeling Jackson had his first kite.
Then we chased some Seagulls with big pieces of driftwood.
Jackson thought he was going to the beach to get away from the Momarazzi.
Building sandcastles...
King of the sandcastle.
We had a short but fun beach overnighter. As we were packing up to leave Jackson curled up with Pillow & Georgie and past out.
Pants are tricky
The last few months Jackson has been trying to dress himself. It has been pretty funny to watch the mini skirts he makes out of his shorts, by putting both legs in one hole.

All Boy
We have been very lucky to inherit many backyard toys from our neighbor who's son has outgrown them. So this is Jackson playing in his new-to-him sandbox (complete with lid; we won't have to worry about kitty treasures) and trucks.
Jackson can spend hours in the sandbox. Grandma & Grandpa got him a real set of yard tools so the shovel, hoe and rake are a big hit as well. Thanks to the sandbox we may now have some vegetables in the garden :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Jackson!
It is so hard to believe that you are 2 years old already. It has been such an amazing journey watching you grow and learn new things each day. There are some days you wake up from naps smarter and taller. Jackson you always keep me on my toes. You have taught me how to be more patient and more confident. I feel so lucky to be your Mom. You always have lots of hugs to give and you have a very sensitive side that makes my heart melt. You are a little monkey and love to climb on things. You are already trying to scout out the climbing trees in our yard. You are my big helper around the house and you love helping with the yard work. I feel very grateful to be able to experience the world through your curious eyes. Thank you for being such a joy in my life!
