Track Star

We recently learned about a track meet our town puts on for all ages during the summer. So last night we checked it out. Jackson was so excited!

Jackson stretching.

Throwing shot put.

I love this action picture of the ball up in the air.

Jackson getting ready for long jump....

...and hurdles. They had these cute hurdles that were just his size.

50 meter dash.

Proud boy with all his ribbons.

Morgan's event was the bear crawl with pizza crust in his mouth. He has it mastered!

Curb Appeal

We recently finished a much needed curb appeal project.

Thanks to the motivation from our home owners insurance, we have a freshly painted house and new handrails. We also have been wanting to replace the iron columns for wood so we decided to get it all done at once. I think picking a house color is one of the most difficult decisions a couple must decide on in their lives (closely behind should we have children). We are very happy with what we finally picked and love driving up to our new house.

We love the way the new windows look on the top floor. So now we are anxious to replace the downstairs windows.

Releasing of the Butterflies

Jackson got a butterfly garden for his birthday. It came with live caterpillars that we watched turn in to chrysalides then hatch into butterflies. Then here we got to release the butterflies so they could enjoy the garden.

Here Morgan is practicing his walking. He really likes pushing Jackson around.

Morgan is our climber

Nothing stops this kid from getting something he wants.

At the Beach

A few weeks ago we had the oppurtunity to go down to Bandon with Doug for work. It was a long car ride for one night, but we made the most of it; playing on the beach, swimming in the pool, walking the boardwalk and eating some great fresh seafood (my new favorite: fish tacos)

Morgan enjoying playing in the sand for the first time.

Jackson the sea weed monster.

Happy 4th Birthday Jackson

The day started with birthday breakfast: Fruit Loop Pancakes, Sausage, Water Melon, and Hot chocolate.

Then off to the zoo, the animals were all awake and very active so it was lots of fun.

Jackson riding on the lion cub like a motorcyle.

Checking out the dino teeth.

Although I didn't get pictures the day ended with Jackson getting to go celebrate his birthday at Toy's R US. This envolved a birthday balloon, birthday crown, birthday announcement over the loudspeaker and everyone in the store wishing him a Happy Birthday. He got to pick out a toy and use his Birthday Gift Card.

Then it was off to Red Robin for dinner!

Jackson had a great day.
